WILDLIFE CONSERVATION THROUGH RELEASE AND REHABILITATION
Fluid Injections
Fluids can be a crucial need for crashing animals.
At H.O.P.Education we have the tools needed to assist crashing animals. We also teach SubQ and IV medication / fluid administration to any
interested volunteers. This assures any patients we may have get the best care possible!
Forced Feedings
Sometimes when your animal doesn't feel well they may not want to eat, this can pose serious issues to animals who can not go without feeding. At H.O.P.Education we offer Tube Feeding demonstrations for any inquiring volunteers. This can be a complicated process and quite dangerous!
Sick Animal Intake
Teaching our volunteers how to safeley intake any sick animals in crucial to H.O.P.Education Networks mission in wildlife conservation. Not only is it important to not further stress the sick animal out during this process, but it's also important we take the steps to stay clean in order to prevent any spread of disease / parasite to our Outreach Ambassadors!
Wildlife Release
With permission from Officers of the FWC we were able to release 6 baby snapping turtles into the wild after weathering them in our facility and assessing their survival rate. We also had the permission to relocate one gopher tortoise to a safer location and assisted with over a dozen road crossings / accidents throughout the 2018 season!
*H.O.P.Education Network is not a licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility. Through a vast amount of research, countless volunteer experience, and through being licensed within NYS for wildlife rehabilitation we are only providing rehab to animals with permission given to us by FWC. -Thank you for understanding*
